About The Procedure

Darker areas of skin occur at birth or naturally over time, often appearing on the face, shoulders, hands and arms – typically, on areas of the body that have been exposed to the sun. They are often considered to be tell-tale signs of ageing, but they can be greatly reduced by including Lumecca in your custom skincare programme.
Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one use, patients notice significant improvements in the complexion and clarity of the skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment. The technology in Lumecca uses a higher peak power in order to deliver a stronger result, which leads to fewer treatments than other IPL machines on the market.

Our Lumecca photofacials use exactly what the name suggests: intense pulsed light. Through a handheld device, we deliver a super bright blast of light that penetrates your skin. Don’t worry; you’ll be given protective eyewear to make sure the flashes of light won’t hurt your eyes. Your aesthetician will also apply a cooling gel to your skin before the treatment begins to help ensure your session is both comfortable and effective.
Despite the powerful nature of this treatment, each pulse of light very gently targets deep tissue. The blood vessels and collagen beneath your top layer of skin, or epidermis, will constrict, which will effectively reduce redness, fine lines, and wrinkles while brightening your complexion. You can also say goodbye to large pores and uneven skin textures and say hello to your best skin ever. Photofacials work best on light to medium skin tones.
