If you don’t think it is possible for you, then I’m sorry to say, but you are wrong!    It is possible to achieve the smoothness, color, and health you envision for your skin by taking a few things into account. Below are 6 tips to achieve that youthful and radiant glowing skin!  
  1. Maintain and Stick To A Great Skin Care Routine
Taking care of your skin is as important as exercise in a healthy daily routine. Designing a routine that suits your needs, skin type, and schedule is crucial. Seeking advice from a medical professional is the best way to ensure optimal results.   Do you have oily skin? Dry skin? Redness?  No problem! Different skin types require different active ingredients, there is no one-size-fits-all. Some products and ingredients may even be causing more harm than good to your skin. Your skin care routine should consist of products and treatments matched by a medical professional who has thorough education in the skin and skin conditions, has assessed your skin type, skin reactions, and is informed on your desired results.    Here is a very basic routine that you should follow every day AM & PM. Again, I can’t stress this enough, be sure to have a medical professional match up products to your skin type and goals for each step in the routine!   Step 1: Cleanser Step 2: Toner Step 3: Serum Step 4: Moisturizer Step 5: SPF For Protection   Don’t forget to take care of the rest of your body as well, not just your face! Everything matters!

  The infamous saying “you are what you eat,” certainly applies to having smooth skin. By filling your body with fresh and healthy food, you will notice a big difference in the appearance of your skin.   Fish, avocados, walnuts, sweet potato, tomatoes, and broccoli are just a few foods to add to your diet that are full of rich nutrients. These nutrients will help you maintain and improve your skin’s health.  
  1. Look Into Cosmetic Treatments

  Whether you believe it or not, a good night’s sleep will help your health improve drastically! Getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night is essential if you want glowing and healthy skin. During this sleep time, your body will go through restoration, regenerating cells and producing collagen to keep you looking your best.    When you turn in for the evening you can also take advantage of this time further by developing a night skincare routine to combat ageing and improve elasticity.  
  1. Get Sweaty Daily
  Cleansing your skin from the inside, this step should not be overlooked. Exercise promotes good circulation; increasing the blood flow which carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body and skin. In addition to this, increased blood flow also helps carry away waste products and free radicals from working cells. There are many other benefits to exercise but it’s ability to provide healthy radiant skin is one of my favourites!  
  1. Sunscreen SPF
  Preserving the skin by protecting it from sun damage is one of the most important steps to prevent ageing and retain youthful skin. I can not stress this enough, use at least 30 SPF Broad Spectrum Sunscreen, even when it is overcast, you should wear it year-round. Do not skip this step!  Be sure to reapply every 2 hours minimum.   I will break down the detailed importance of SPF in another article because of its importance to the skin and optimal health but essentially unprotected skin risks burning and using SPF reduces damage, sunspots, and risk of skin cancer.
