Botox: Here Are Some of The Top FAQs!

Here at SasiClinic we have a suite of options to help your skin look pristine and perfect.    One of the most common and well-known solutions we offer is Botox.    All of you may know what Botox is from a higher level, but today I wanted to break down some of the commonly asked questions I have been getting online and in person about Botox.

A Little Briefing On Botox

Botox is basically a purified protein solution. When the substance is administered in small pricks to the skin, it works by blocking nerve impulses and reducing muscle activity.   It has been approved by the FDA since 2002 for the treatment of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. It is a highly popular and widely-used avenue in the vein of wrinkle treatment.

How Long Does it Take to Administer and Take Effect?

Many individuals opt for Botox because the treatment takes a mere matter of minutes and requires no set downtime. After your session, you can immediately return to your normal routine.   It is that simple and that quick! I have had many patients even stop for Botox treatments on their lunch breaks.

How Does Botox Differ From Other Treatments Like Dermal Fillers?

Botox works by relaxing the muscles to stop wrinkles and creases that are caused by facial expressions. The solution can be administered on the upper part of the face, which includes around the eyes and the forehead, as well as in lower areas such as the nasolabial folds and certain regions of the neck.    Treatments like Dermal fillers use substances, such as hyaluronic acid, to fill and plump areas of the face that have lost volume due to ageing or natural volume imbalances.

How Long Do the Effects Last?

The results of treatment will typically last about three to six months. As the solution wears off, the muscles will gradually start to return to their normal function, causing fine lines and wrinkles to resurface.

How Long Will It Take for the Results to Surface?

You may begin to notice the effects of Botox hours after the injections! That is the best part about Botox.    Of course, though, the full results will gradually continue to surface days after the injections are administered and won’t take full effect until 2-3 weeks after treatment.

Can Younger People Have Botox Treatment?

I get this question all the time so let’s dive in…   Many younger individuals are choosing these injections as a preventative measure to significantly reduce the early signs of ageing. It’s important to note that Botox is strictly intended for individuals age 18 or older.   For more information about the process and benefits of Botox feel free to reach out to me here at SasiClinic! I am happy to sit down with you and answer any questions you have and schedule a full free consultation to get your treatment plan fully mapped out!
